A longstanding design collaboration between two school friends (Gail & Caroline) who met in Newcastle in the late 80’s. Caroline set up DIANI Boutique in 2002 in Santa Barbara after moving to California after studying fashion at Kingston University. The Stone Jug is her homeware brand sold exclusively in DIANI and inspired by the old stone farmhouse, The Stone Jug that she’s renovating with her husband, Jeffrey in Upstate New York.

Gail has created and designed many products for Caroline’s business over the years, including the original DIANI logo 22 years ago and most recently, The Stone Jug identity. For the project featured, she designed a seasonal linen tea towel. The design was inspired by a dog walk they took together around Caroline’s farmhouse in the fall of 2022. They collected the leaves together, and when Gail returned to her studio in London, pressed them and created the print pattern.
